Old Massey Ferguson Tractor

1970's Model 135? Looks like this tractor has earned its keep on the farm over the years. Still has a lot of rubber left on those tires though.

Old Massey Ferguson Tractor

Now here's a sharp looking Massey Ferguson model 240 from the late 80's or early 90's I believe. Looks very well taken care of. This model was produced from 1983 to 1998. The previous model was the 230.

Massey Ferguson Model 135 gas engine. Late 1960's? Maybe early 70's? I believe there is five tractors per acre around here!

International Tractor

1977 International still working hard. Here its outfitted with mowing attachment. I have also seen this one being used to haul a boat down to the river for launching.

International Tractor

International from the 70's, very popular tractor around this area. This one looks in fair shape. More than likely used for plowing snow. Probably its farming days are over.

Power King Tractor

This Power King tractor was built in Indiana, US. Checked and found out parts are still available for these smaller tractors. First Power King I have ever seen and maybe the last.

Empire Tractor

Here is a unique tractor. Only 6500 made between 1946 to 1950. I believe these were built in New York, US. Four cylinder Willys-Overland 60hp gasoline engine. This would make a ideal restoration project as most the sheet metal appears in good shape.

Old Fordson Tractor

When you see back wheels like these you know its an oldy. This gentleman has all kinds of farm collectibles and other items from days past. Will have more of his equipment posted at a later date.

Farmall Cub

Here's another Cub along Hwy 215 in Hants county. A small but very popular tractor. Over 200,000 were produced between 1947 and 1964. Popular collectable model and still demand a good price even today.

Massey Harris Mustang and Colt

The 4 horses of Massey Harris are the Mustang, Colt, Pacer and Pony. This collector has restored all of them! Shown in photo above is the Mustang and Colt. This is another collector with an eye for detail.

Old Porsche Diesel Tractor

Here's a Porsche Tractor, one cylinder diesel. Not seen to often. Looks like this would make a nice restoration project but might be hampered by lack of parts available. I assume this is from the late 40's or early 50's. Another tractor that is not seen much here in Nova Scotia would be the Oliver. If anyone has a Oliver tractor or just a photo of an Oliver let me know!

John Deere M 530

Old Fordson Tractor

Fordson Major. Might be a 1947 E27N? This a tough one for me to identify. I found a Fordson internet site but nothing with that style grill was pictured. Even the headlight location didn't match with any on their site.

Here is a model M (1959) that sold for around $2800 dollars recently. Probably a week after I took this photo, I was driving by and it was gone!

Sand Pipers

Here is a visitor on our lawn today. According to various sources it is a Numenius phaeopus commonly known as a Whimbrel. They are common in marshes, mudflats, shores, and prairies. It is a member of the Sandpiper family. This is the first time I have seen one this close.

Cape Blomidon

Cape Blomidon from the Veterans Memorial View Park. Located at the intersection of Oak Island road with West Brooklyn road in Avonport. Exit 9 of the #101.

Sailing

I guess this proves there is more to life than ships and tractors. Here is a man that knows how to spend the last Holiday of Summer 2009.

Old McCormick FARMALL

Check this out! Do you see a John Deere in this photo? This photo is from a place I call "tractors, tractors everywhere". What a amazing collection of International Harvester Equipment and all are beautifully restored as the photo shows. The owner also has a collection of tractor seats, gasoline pumps, a Wurlitzer jute box and many other interesting collectable items. If you see the "Deere" in the photo leave a comment below!

Old Case International 485

OK, this is the youngest of the tractors yet. Built in 1990, that makes it a mere 19 years old. I haven't seen to many of these Case tractors around here. The owner says it has given him great service but replacement parts are quite expensive. I believe all parts are to expensive in general not just for tractors.

Old Farmall Cub

Heres one thats was out in the back barn.1959, still runs good. I always thought if I was to try restoring a tractor this would be the model! The majority of tractor photos are from along the shore road in Hants County, Nova Scotia including this one.
