Tidal Power
First turbine was lowered into the Minas Passage today. The fishing boat Tide Bound passed here to take (I assume) dignitaries out to watch the process.

This is the Tordis Knutsen tanker. She's 265 m with a 42 m beam Flagged from U.K. Appears to be @ a coal dock.

Here's the Atlantic Vision in dock at Sydney. The Marine Atlantic's ferry to Newfoundland. Out of service for maintenance at North Sidney

Cape Breton
Sidney cruise ship dock at the time of this photo it was occupied by the Algoscotia. The ship is a tanker 148.8 m long and 24 m beam. Built in China in 2004. Took a tour of the entire harbor area and more. Will post more photos along Sydney.

Autumn 2009
Here's the last photo of Fall season. This is a small fresh water pond just off Hwy 215 in Burlington. See a lot of people fishing here and I have caught a few pickerel casting from shore during the summer.
